The Eucharist “The Eucharist is ‘the source and summit’ of the Christian life,” states the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1324-1327). Of all the seven sacraments the Holy Eucharist is the most central and most efficacious sign that communicates divine life to the faithful. The Eucharistic celebration is the anticipation of the heavenly liturgy which one day those who die in Christ will participate in together with the saints.
